6 Centres in Ethiopia with 935 Children |
|
January 2010 |
Did you Know that with only 1 € a day, you can save the life of a child?
So simple and that easy is to take a child out of the streets, give it the chance to escape from loneliness and hunger, from the cruel life of orphanage, even from death. By sponsoring the hosting of a child in one of our Child Care Centres, you give the opportunity for daily care, for education, for a warm hug, for a life worth living, you give life...
Only those who have made the trip and met these kids can really realize the enormous importance and value such little money can take.
Only 1 € per day ?
How could someone explain it to an orphan child who fails to enter into any of our centres, that the money needed for this purpose, unfortunately, can only be met voluntarily, by an unknown somewhere far away, since their own state today in the year of 2009 is still unable to take care ? And this stranger, who lives somewhere far away, cannot realize that the entire life of that child simply means just a few newspapers and magazines per month...
Life is that cheap.
We cannot act? We cannot be active? Certainly we will not change the world, but Selemon’s (photo bellow) life as well as of 935 other children, has changed !

Doctor in action...
Imagine this sweet girl, Sisaynesh (photo on the left), orphan, blind, in Ethiopia ...
She has not only found a large family in our Centre in Dessie town along with a Greek foster parent with whom she can communicate, feeling that there is someone who’s thinking of her and supports her on earth, but also she saw at last the light of the sun, the light of the day, she saw all the colours around her, the faces of her friends, she saw life, after the successful corneal transplant jacket in her left eye made in Athens Greece by the specialist Doctor Mr. P. Paikos (left photo).
How much can be changed the outlook for a better life for the sweet Sisaynesh, think about...
Smiles of joy and great emotion, at each visit to these children, our
children...
The longing for communication and contact is of the strong things we feel
every time we go there...
